At Help Unlimited we have two special services that can improve the quality of life for our patients: Telehealth and Anodyne or Infrared Photo Therapy.

TELEHEALTH PROGRAM

What is Telehealth?

Telehealth is a piece of medical equipment that has the ability to regularly monitor temperature, pulse, blood pressure, weight, O2 Saturation and blood sugars as well as perform an EKG and take a picture of a wound. This technology has proven to be very beneficial in disease management, to help reduce hospitalizations and assist patients to remain in their own home.

The telehealth system at Help Unlimited is internet based and has been used by the Veterans Administration nationally with great success. When a HIPPA compliant password is approved, then physicians, patients, medical personnel and families can review the patient’s health information on-line at any time.

How Much Does It Cost?

In general, this is a free service for our patients while on service; however some insurance plans do not cover this equipment. We can make arrangements for you to continue with this service in your home after you are discharged for a small monthly fee.

Our Home Health Aides, under the supervision of the Nursing Supervisor, can help you with all your personal care needs to include meals, bathing dressing and assistance with your home exercise program.

Who Monitors My Health Information?

Your doctor determines what is being monitored and how often as well as setting monitoring guidelines. A registered nurse monitors your specific health information daily to ensure that if anything becomes abnormal you and your physician are immediately notified.

ANODYNE THERAPY PROGRAM

Anodyne Therapy

Anodyne Therapy is an Infrared Light Therapy device that is applied in direct skin contact to any area of the body. Anodyne therapy is indicated by the US FDA to temporarily increase circulation and reduce pain, stiffness and muscle spasm. It has been prescribed and used by over 20,000 doctors and therapists who trust its clinical effectiveness. Best of all, Anodyne Therapy is drug-free and has no side effects.

How does Anodyne Therapy Work?

Anodyne Therapy works both directly and indirectly to relive pain, and is easily applied wherever you may have pain. For patients with an acute injury or condition, Anodyne Therapy helps to decrease pain, reduce stiffness and muscle spasm and increase circulation directly to the affected area of your body. Some chronic diseases and conditions can limit blood flow to the tiny vessels that supply oxygen and nutrients to the nerves in your peripherals- arms, hands, legs and feet-resulting in pain. Anodyne Therapy treatments increase circulation by dilating these vessels, which indirectly reduces pain caused by lack of blood flow.

If you have an acute or temporary problem, more than likely, you will not require ongoing treatments. If you have a chronic condition causing you pain and circulation problems, clinical treatment with Anodyne Therapy will not be a cure, but rather an ongoing treatment for your condition. Anodyne home systems are available for continuing pain relief in the privacy and comfort of your home.

How Much Does It Cost?

This therapy is basically a free service for those patients who have a physician’s order for physical therapy and qualify for therapy services under their health plan.
